First of all, let’s understand the importance of knowledge, money, and time.
Knowledge: If you don’t have any knowledge about finance, for example, and if someone gives you millions, you will lose that and will go back to 0! Ouch! Yes, because if you don’t know how to manage and utilize money in a way that helps you, then you won’t be able to save that money. On the other hand, if you have the right knowledge, you can earn billions from 0 (or $7, just like The Rock did).
If you want to lose weight and don’t have the right knowledge about that, then you might lose weight, but you will gain weight back again (like me, and I did that twice), and if you keep repeating this mistake, then you will struggle a lot to lose weight, but thankfully with the right knowledge, you can lose weight and maintain it forever (like I am doing).
If you don’t know about AI, then you might worry about news or media that says “AI will replace you.” Thankfully, with the right knowledge, you can build a version of you that is irreplaceable.
Money: Of course, you know the importance of money. It helps you to pay your rent and bills and buy your food, this subscription, that subscription, etc. But after fulfilling basic needs, the main importance of money is that it gives you freedom. Freedom to walk away from situations, places, and people that don’t align with you and live on your own terms. Also, you can wake up without an alarm if you have lots of money. With the right choices, it is possible.
Time: Last but not at all least. You have limited time on this earth (unless you are immortal). You can do anything in this world, but not everything.
Time is such a crucial resource, but still, many times we underestimate its importance and waste it on silly things. With the right decisions, we can earn time and invest in the things that truly matter.
Let’s move on to understand how to earn knowledge, money, and time.
1. Knowledge = Money + Time
As mentioned earlier, I failed twice in my fitness journey. I realized that there must be some way, and thankfully, I found one. I was educated with the right knowledge, I lost weight, I became a certified fitness coach, and I have transformed 300+ people till now. This is what the right knowledge can do for you. It can change your life!
To earn knowledge, you need to invest money and time, and that knowledge, when applied, can save you money and time your whole life. I always believe that others’ success can teach you a lot, but others’ failure will teach you a lot more because by knowing their failures, you will get to know what you should not be doing, and eventually, that will also save your money and time.
Enrolling in a course or a book might seem like an investment, but it’s an investment in your future self.
Enrolling with a fitness coach is an investment, and it’s an investment in your health, and health is wealth. You may have infinite money, but still you can’t buy good health. If I had enrolled with a fitness coach in my past, then I wouldn’t have failed in my fitness journey, and my money and time would have been saved.
Whatever money and time you are investing in earning knowledge, when you apply that knowledge in the right way, you can earn that money and time back, or maybe it can save your money and time your whole life.
2. Money = Knowledge + Time
Many might be waiting for this, as it is the favorite of many. You already know the importance of money, so let’s see how you can earn more money.
Have you ever thought about how you can monetize your passion in your free time without quitting your job?
You might be working a 9-to-5 job like me and still looking to earn more, or maybe you’re unemployed and wishing to be a millionaire. Guess what? Aladdin is listening to your wish!
Ask yourself:
What is it that you love to do?
What is it that you can do even for free? (Don’t worry, you don’t have to do it for free.)
What do you do daily, even when you are tired after office hours?
Answering these questions will help you identify your genuine interest and talent that you already have inside you.
I will give you my example to help you identify.
I am doing a full-time software developer job, but still I do many other things that help me generate some money, like:
I am a certified fitness coach helping to lose weight and gain muscle in a sustainable way.
I have written a book on fitness.
I am a certified yoga instructor, and sometimes I conduct group classes.
My genuine interests:
I love to talk about fitness, and I work workout regularly without fail.
I love to read a lot and write about things that I love.
I love doing yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation daily.
So, here’s how my specific knowledge and interests help me earn money.
Love for fitness -> Fitness coach
Love for reading & writing -> Writer
Love for yoga -> Yoga instructor
When it comes to you:
Maybe you love coding. So, love for coding -> Build SaaS and become a solopreneur.
Maybe you love drawing. So, love for drawing -> Draw and sell artworks.
Maybe you love traveling. So, love for traveling -> Work with a travel agency.
In simple words, you need to find a sweet spot between “what you love to do” & “how the world can benefit from what you are doing.” Make sure to provide value, because that’s the most important thing. The more value you provide, the more you earn.
Now, that was about utilizing knowledge.
After your job, you might have some extra time, or in the morning before your working hours start, or maybe during weekends.
Now you can make a routine so that you can utilize your knowledge and time in such a way that it can help others provide value, and that, in turn, can help you earn some money.
Many of you might be wondering about not having time. If you are the one, then don’t worry; when there is a will, there is a way.
3. Time = Knowledge + Money
As you know, time is precious and limited, so utilizing time for things that really matter is important.
Everyone has 24 hours, so you can’t get more than 24 hours, but you can earn extra time by making some adjustments to your 24-hour routine.
If you are not achieving your goals, then make an Excel sheet of the time invested by you. You will get your answers.
Ask yourself, do you have a routine for the whole day? This activity should be performed at this time, that activity should be performed at that time, and you get the idea. If you don’t have a routine, then you will have a hard time making some time for yourself and for things that really matter. Again, you can do anything in this world, but not everything. The best example is that if you are living alone, then you can do household chores, but you can also use your money to hire a maid for household chores that will free up your time, and you can use your time somewhere else, like building a business.
Now ask yourself, how can you utilize your knowledge and money so that you can make some extra time for yourself?
For example, if you are starting a business and need a website, then you can work with a software developer, and you will get your website in days instead of investing weeks studying website development and building from scratch.
If you are running a business and doing many small tasks by yourself, but you know about managing a team, then you can make a small team and pay them to do all those tasks that will free up your time, and then utilize that time to grow your business.
If you are a content creator, then instead of taking time out daily for creating content and posting every single day, you can keep 2 hours aside during weekends for making content in bulk and pay for some software that schedules posts on many different accounts with one click.
That was all about earning knowledge, money, and time. These 3 currencies, when utilized smartly, can change your life completely. Life is short, so instead of wasting it on meaningless things, utilize it for the benefit of this universe, and make it worth living.
I wish you earn lots of knowledge, money, and time and live your best life. Stay curious. See you in the next article.
